Leslie Lopez, DDS
Dr. Lopez was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. After high school, she moved to Albuquerque with her family and attended the University of New Mexico. While at UNM, she began working at the front desk at High Country Dental, where she discovered her passion for dentistry. She later also worked as both a dental assistant and dental hygienist, giving her a unique perspective on the vital role every team member plays in delivering exceptional patient care.
Dr. Lopez went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Nebraska, an institution recognized for its commitment to clinical excellence.
Following dental school, she lived in Colorado and Chicago, Illinois, where she:
- Helped run five dental practices.
- Mentored 8 associate dentists, along with all administrative and clinical team members.
- Ran a Dental Advocacy Group that provided continuing education.
- Managed complex cases through close collaboration with in-house specialists, including oral surgeons, implantologists, orthodontists, and endodontists.
Dr. Lopez is passionate about educating patients so they can confidently make informed, predictable, long-term treatment decisions that support healthy, beautiful, and functional smiles at every stage of life.
Today, she is thrilled to be back in New Mexico and honored to serve the community that first inspired her love for dentistry. She is excited to join a team that shares her commitment to comprehensive, ethical care and to fostering growth within the team. In addition to carrying on Dr. Goebel’s legacy and working alongside the talented team at Southern Boulevard Dental. With the exceptional leadership of Dr. Trujillo and Daisy, Dr. Lopez will also work as a Clinical Instructor at Touro College of Dental Medicine.
Outside the office, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling to visit family and friends.

Dr. Lopez is dedicated to providing every patient, regardless of age or background, with the best possible treatment options to achieve and maintain a healthy smile. She believes in empowering patients through education so they can make informed decisions and feel confident in their treatment plans. She takes the time to discuss patient goals and help them overcome barriers to treatment.
(Note: Dr. Lopez is certified in Oral Conscious Sedation to best serve anxious patients and patients who would like to maximize their time.
Martin G. Goebbel, DDS
Dr. Goebbel earned his DDS from The Ohio State University after completing a BS at Bowling Green State University. He was recognized by the American Academy of Periodontology as a student and later completed a General Practice Residency with the U.S. Public Health Service in San Francisco.
Early in his career, Dr. Goebbel served as a dental officer with the Indian Health Service, taught in the IHS Dental Assistant Training Program and the University of New Mexico Dental Hygiene Program, and worked in infection control in collaboration with CDC and OSHA. He designed Southern Boulevard Dental to be a state-of-the-art practice and has maintained that standard ever since through advanced equipment and continuing education.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Goebbel enjoys woodworking, technology, and time with his family—and he’s an avid Ohio State football fan.
Nazario Young-Trujillo, DDS – Clinical Director
Dr. Nazario Young Trujillo graduated from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. He then completed a Dental Residency at the University of New Mexico, specializing in Sedation Dentistry. Dr. Young-Trujillo also specializes in Adult Cosmetic Braces. He is a long-standing member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Young-Trujillo’s compassionate disposition and gentle approach to dentistry have made him one of the top sedation dentists in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his dogs, riding his bike, and traveling.
